Just like backpacking and adventure style holidays, luxury travel isn’t one for everyone. It is, however, definitely one for me! What can I say? I’m a bit boujee when it comes to travel. I’d rather spend money on luxuries of a single trip than budget to fit more in. If like me, you like to treat yourself when it comes to travel – then you’re reading the right post. Here are my top 5 luxury travel destinations for my fellow boujee travellers.
Maldives: The island lover’s paradise
The Maldives has to be one of the top destination choices for luxury travellers alike. Located in South Asia, this beautiful country boasts white sand beaches, bluer than blue lagoons and an array of colourful coral reefs. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. It’s no wonder this is often a first choice for honeymooners.
Being one of my dream destinations for a while, it’s one I’m definitely saving up for! My love for this luxury destination was intensified when I was recently invited to the preview launch of Vakkaru Maldives. This tropical reef island is a secluded paradise, set within a backdrop of golden sunsets, white sand beaches and thousands of coconut trees.
Cruise Europe like a VIP
If you already live in Europe, you may not always think of it as a luxury destination. But like most good moments in life, it’s not always the ‘where’ that counts, but the ‘how’… So how do you travel to Europe? Sometimes no-frills, budget airlines don’t always cut it. Bali: Peaceful luxury at its best
Similar to the Maldives, Bali is also a destination usually reserved for honeymoons and special getaways. Which is one of the reasons why it makes the perfect luxury getaway. Aside from having amazing luxury hotels and villas, Bali also offers more for adventurous travellers through its endless forest trails and waterfalls.
There are also many cheaper accommodation options such as hostels that cater to all budgets. But if you’re looking for a truly luxurious stay, then opt for one of the secluded treetop villas. This one is definitely on my bucket list! Not sure if I can wait till the honeymoon either…

Bali for me looks ideal for like you say a romantic getaway or honeymoon (which we have never had and we have been married 6 years this year!) I’d love anything with sandy beaches and clear blue oceans.
