My Travel Bucket List For 2018

Ok, ok, I know I said this year was the year to save money for our first house. But do you really think I could get through a whole year without getting some travel in? Whilst they won’t be my ultimate destinations, I would still love to explore some new, and even return to some great cities.

The city of love for me, for two reasons. 1, I love steak and 2, I love wine – and they do both really well! But all jokes aside, Paris truly is one of the most romantic cities in the world. From the beautiful sites and architecture, fine dining and culture, there’s a lot to discover in Paris.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Paris a few times now. And I will never get bored of seeing the stunning Eiffel Tower or being charmed by the cute little market stalls and boutiques. I love exploring the different districts and finding new cafés and bars  each time. And with Paris being so accessible from London on the Eurostar, there’s not much stopping me…

Vermont & New York

My brother and sister-in-law moved over to Vermont last year (which is actually her hometown). So what better reason to go visit the States then to see my family! We’re currently planning a summer trip to Vermont. They got married there during Autumn so I’m looking forward to experiencing a nice summer there now too. My brother has also suggested a road trip to Canada which isn’t too far. In fact a lot of people often confuse Vermont for being in Canada, but it is actually within the United States.

New York

We’re also planning a few days in New York as it’s only a short distance from there. I also have some relatives based in New Jersey so will hopefully be able to meet up with them too. The last time I visited New York was when I was 19 so that was a while ago. So I’m also looking forward to checking out the sites again. But if I’m honest, it was re-watching Friends on Netflix that inspired it ha!

We are planning on visiting Philippines this coming Christmas and will be needing to make a trip to Boracay for our friends wedding. Such a tough life… We will just have to suffer the hot, sandy beaches of paradise. But anything for our friends. No lie though, Boracay has been listed as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.

The first time we visited was around 3 years ago, and that was also around Christmas time. It was actually perfect weather. With clear skies and 30 degrees, which feels a lot cooler than it sounds as it’s right on the beach. This is the first time I’ll be attending a beach wedding and I can’t wait!

This has been a dream destination for so many years. I think my obsession first came about after watching ‘Eat, Pray Love’ and I was convinced I needed to recreate the same journey ha! But I honestly doubt I will have enough funds or time to travel to Bali any time soon. So I’ve put my faith in Dock & Bay and entered their amazing competition! It’s simple to enter and is such an amazing prize, what are you waiting for?

Check out the video below for more details or visit the Dock & Bay website to enter.

My in-laws live in NJ too. I went to New York on my first trip out to the US and hated it. You will love it though.
