Over the past few months I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great brands through my blog and have really fallen in love with some of the products I get sent. I love discovering new products and am always on the lookout for new things to try. So I wanted to share some of my current favourite products with you all.
The Botanics Beauty Range
As you may have seen from my insta, I am Botanics ambassador. The range has been around for a while but have recently gone under a rebrand. As part of their ambassador program, I’m able to test out and review some of their existing products as well as an early peek at their newer releases.
I have quite sensitive skin so was really anxious when I first started testing out their products. But after a couple of weeks I was in love! My absolute favourite beauty products from the range has to be the refrefreshing eye roll on and the rose water toning spritz. They are perfect for use before make-up as well as during the day to freshen up skin. The spritz is perfect for giving a dewy glow for make-up without the shine.
Vape Juice by Flavour Boss
First and foremost, I do not condone smoking of any kind. However, being an ex-smoker I can honestly say that vaping has been the single reason that I have not picked up a single cigarette in over 6 months! I’m still a novice when it comes to the various brands and types of vape kits out there, so I was more than excited when the guys over at Flavour Boss got in touch about a review of their e-liquids.
They have a range of flavours with everything from dessert to fruity profiles. They sent me a few choices to review including:
- Purple Slush
- Tropical Typhoon
- Lunch Ladies Lemon Tart
- Sugar Lips
- Stripple Reborn
All of the flavours were very balanced, and had been blended and mixed well. The flavour profiles were quite developed and had a different taste on inhales compared to the exhales. This is normally the case when you go for more premium vape juices, so this was a nice element to their juices.
The standout flavours for me would have to be Sugar Lips and Stripple Reborn. The flavour profile for Sugar Lips is described as Watermelon, Strawberries, Kiwi and Marshmellows. On the inhale, you get a nice balance of the exotic fruits with the yummy marshmallow flavour coming in later.
And Stripple Reborn is described as a blend of homemade strawberry and raspberry ice-cream. I usually always opt for a fruity-based vape liquid, but this has to be a new favourite for me! The dessert element isn’t overpowering at all, and the creamy fruit flavours play off each other really well. If you like dessert flavours I would give this one a go!
Malée Verdure Moisturising Oil
I first started seeing the Malée brand on instagram on my feed and was intrigued by their story. Inspired by the rich landscapes of Africa, the brand has developed unique beauty products made with natural ingredients. All of their products have also undergone a lot of scientific research to ensure the best formulas.
Their moisturising oil has turned into a beauty essential for me for a few reasons. One, it has multiple uses, from your skin to your hair – this is the ultimate moisturising oil. Two, it comes in a 100ml sized bottle, but due it only being needed sparingly it lasts a really long time. And the last reason would have to be that it smells absolutely divine!
My main use for it right now is my hair. As I’ve bleached my hair, the damage is becoming more apparent on the ends of my hair. So I use this as a pre-shampoo treatment to help moisturise my dry hair. It is really light and leaves my hair soft and silky.
The Tangle Angel
Another hair favourite for me right now is my Tangle Angel! I’ve always used a tangle brush as my main hair brush, but other brands don’t quite cut it.
I first discovered the Tangle Angel on my visit to the Richard Ward Salon. The travel version has actually been a lifesaver because it’s clever design makes it perfect for use on the go.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream
Being olive-skinned, finding the right nude lippy has always been a challenge. But NYX has a wide variety of shades to suit all types of skin tones. Their matte lip cream is my current go-to daily lippy.
The Abu Dhabi is a deep rose-beige shade which is a perfect pinky toned nude for my skin. The colour lasts a few hours so I only need a top-up a couple of times a day. The matte is perfect as it dries up to a perfect matte finish without drying your lips. And at the £6 price point, it’s fair to say I’ve stocked up on a few different shades!
So that makes my top 5 favourite products. Are there any products you’re loving at the mo and can’t live without? Let me know in the comments below.
